MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY MAKES USE OF SMALL BUSINESS GOING BIG PLACES, NEUSTEP SHOWCASES FAMED U-505 SUBMARINE EXHIBIT.

Chicago, IL May 14, 2007—The Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) makes use of a Chicago based technology firm known as NeuStep to showcase its U-505 Submarine Exhibit.  

Over the past three years NeuStep's Research and Development department has developed the world's first web based virtual walk-through technology.  The standard virtual tour allows for only one stationary 360-degree view of each separate room throughout a property.  With NeuStep, the user can navigate up to the front door of a property, enter, travel up and down stairs, and explore any room or hallway.  They can travel inside or outside, and stop at ANY point for a 360-degree spherical view of the current surroundings.

NeuStep approached the Museum of Science and Industry with hopes of producing a virtual walk-through of one of the exhibits as a portfolio piece, having the mindset that it would help with their brand awareness.  The result was not only a walk-through of an exhibit, it was of MSI’s famed U-505 Submarine exhibit; a very big compliment for NeuStep.

“It’s funny the number of applications we’ve come up with for a technology such as NeuStep.  We’ve [the NeuStep team] literally sat around for hours compelling lists.  This museum exhibit is important to us because it showcases the technology as applied in another industry,” stated Justin Young, PR Coordinator at NeuStep.  “And not only does it showcase the technology well, but we’ve now worked with the Museum of Science and Industry.  That’s a name anyone would want in their portfolio!  We definitely look forward to working with them again.” Young added.

Currently, NeuStep’s virtual walk-through experiences are produced both in house, and throughout their extended reseller base.
